Choosing a profession

First identify the mode: rated arena, battleground or open world.
Check engineering devices separately in each mode.
Do not transfer open-world consumable benefits to template-based arenas.

Checking crafting cost

Cost = sum of (reagent quantity × purchase price) + additional expenses. Profit = proceeds after fees − cost. Self-gathered materials also have value: compare selling raw materials with crafting. Check actual sales rather than listed auctions alone.
