Choosing a profession

Alchemy supplies flasks and potions; cooking supplies food and feasts.
Enchanting and jewelcrafting help prepare group gear.
Legion does not require a profession for a unique passive DPS increase for every class.

Checking crafting cost

Cost = sum of (reagent quantity × purchase price) + additional expenses. Profit = proceeds after fees − cost. Self-gathered materials also have value: compare selling raw materials with crafting. Check actual sales rather than listed auctions alone.

Practical playbooks are written by the portal editors. Check the patch before using current tables: numerical values after item-level squishes do not belong to Legion.
